Graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (AOA).

Completed at UT Health Science Center at San Antonio; awarded the Resident Recognition Award in her 3rd year.
Professional
PCP at Starcare since 1997.
Teaching
Teaches medical students from UTSW and TCOM for many years; summer preceptor program for first-year Texas medical students for many years.
Interests
Enjoys karate (4th degree black belt), swimming, and is an avid science fiction reader.
Micheal Franklin, PA-C
Micheal Franklin, PA-C, has been at Starcare for nearly 20 years. He is a UTSW graduate and worked extensively in the cardiology field before moving to family medicine. In his free time, Mike enjoys playing golf and guitar.
Lauren Beal, PA-C
Lauren Beal, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant originally from San Antonio, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University before completing her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at West Coast University in Richardson, Texas. Lauren is passionate about delivering compassionate, patient-centered care and building strong, lasting relationships with her patients. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing tennis and pickleball, and being outdoors.
